We hosted our premiere of Detroit: The City of Faith last night at Saint John's Resort in Plymouth to a wonderfully diverse audience of around 180 people. Under one roof, we had spiritual leaders and congregation members from Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church, Historic Trinity Lutheran Church, St. John Armenian Church, Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit, Second Baptist Church of Detroit, Basilica of St. Mary, and St. Joseph Chaldean Catholic Church.

The evening began with appetizer grazing in the atrium of the resort with a menu selection of dishes donated by the various featured ethnic communities.

Prior to the start of the film, eight of our spiritual leaders offered a personal prayer. We heard from Monsignor Chuck Kosanke, Very Rev. Aren Jebejian, Rev. Lawrence Rodgers, Rev. Edwin Estevez, Rev. Kelsey Sorge, Rev. Patrick Setto, and Fr. George Shalhoub.

After last night's screening, we are certain our story of Detroit’s ethnically rich faith community will inspire and teach so much about what makes Metro Detroit such a unique place to raise a family.

In 2021, the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation acquired the Inn at St. John’s and began converting the former Catholic seminary into Saint John’s Resort, which is part of the Foundation’s “Humanitarian Hotels” strategy.
